GRØNØY

Grønøy which was covered by green land and  archipelago pine  became an important trading post for Helgeland in the early 18th century. Borgerleie,  yachting , inn and trade have been run over several generations and several families have over time been  involved .

GUESTHOUSE

The house received its first inn grant in 1788. Hurtigruten had called at Grønøy until the mid-1950s, and many people used the house for accommodation on their way further. The house has also been used
for small farm operations, social security office, administration of post and boat dispatch.
